NHRTL APPLAUDS CMC DECISION TO DEFUND CHILD HEALTH SERVICES

The Catholic Medical Center has taken a courageous leap forward promoting respect for all innocent human life by ceasing their contributions to the pro-abortion group known as Child Health Services (CHS). CHS arrogantly rejected CMC's offers to continue cooperation on matters like nutrition not related to so-called "family planning".

The CHS rejection of CMC's offer is perhaps because CHS's commitment to "reproductive health services," including abortion referrals, trumps its concern for nutritional services for low-income children. "We applaud CMC and Alyson Pitman Giles for realizing that a hospital need not cave in to the abortion culture in order to provide health care," said NHRTL Vice President Ellen Kolb.

"CMC, a long established and trusted health care provider, is wise to defund organizations like CHS because they promote explicit sex education, abortifacent drugs, and surgical abortions for minors without parental consent," explained Betty Breuder from Hillsborough County Right to Life. "Even now, the Healthy Manchester Leadership Council, with CHS, is seeking extensive taxpayer funding for a clinic. CHS routinely cooperates with Planned Parenthood of Northern New England on objectionable programs. We urge citizens to thank CMC for their action, and then contact Mayor Baines and the Manchester Alderman to defund this CHS program," said Breuder.

New Hampshire Right to Life is the oldest and largest pro-life organization in New Hampshire. The mission of New Hampshire Right to Life is to foster respect for human life from the moment of conception to natural death and to promote the right to life as the paramount social issue through educational, legislative, political, and other forms of lawful activity.
