NHRTL Deplores Possible Arson at Abortion Facility

In the wake of a fire that damaged an abortion mill in Greenland, New Hampshire, Philip Morrison, President of New Hampshire Right to Life, stated, "New Hampshire Right to Life neither advocates nor condones the use of violence, by either side, in the abortion debate."

The Feminist Health Center of Portsmouth sustained water and fire damage Sunday, when the facility was closed. Fire officials have said that the fire was suspicious but the incident is still under investigation.

"I understand that it has not been established at this time that the fire was intentionally set, or that the fact that abortions are committed at the facility was the prime motive for setting the fire, if it was truly arson. Rest assured, however, that pro-abortion advocates will attempt to link every peaceful, law-abiding pro-lifer with this incident," said Morrison. "The vast majority of people who are pro-life abhor the use of violence and any attempt to suggest otherwise is equally deplorable. New Hampshire Right to Life adheres to the Life Principles, which advocate respect for all innocent human life. Anyone who truly espouses these principles must denounce this type of action, if it was, in fact, abortion-related."

New Hampshire Right to Life is the oldest and largest pro-life organization in New Hampshire. The mission of New Hampshire Right to Life is to foster respect for human life from the moment of conception to natural death and to promote the right to life as the paramount social issue through educational, legislative, political, and other forms of lawful activity.
